11 Feb Hazel Mattice named Unison Bank Artist of the Month
Unison Bank announced Hazel Mattice as its featured artist for February 2025.
Each month, Unison Bank features local artists, photographers, quilters and creators and their products or services. Since 2013, they have featured 118 artisans.
February’s featured artist, Hazel Mattice, has displayed a variety of her works within the lobby of Unison Bank in Jamestown, N.D.
Originally from Wimbledon, Mattice has been writing since 2011. She has since published 8 books with 2 more scheduled to be released this year.
“I am an avid reader and love storytelling. Writing my own books provides me the chance to create characters, deciding where their story goes and how it ends,” said Mattice.
When asked what inspires her, Mattice shared, “I’m inspired by authors who write better than I do. I love reading to discover books I love and why, or books I don’t and why. This enables me to improve and grow in my own writing.”
