03 Feb Park field renovation receives donation from Unison Bank
Unison Bank is making a difference in the community of Jamestown this year that will impact future generations.
Unison Bank has partnered with Jamestown Parks and Recreation Foundation to help fund the renovation of the playing fields at McElroy Park, located in Jamestown, N.D.
“Jamestown Parks and Recreation has done a great job in developing key recreational areas for our community,” said Unison Bank President & CEO, Kelly Rachel. “At Unison Bank, we are proud of our community bank heritage and want to help our communities grow.”
Unison Bank has committed $300,000 to the Jamestown Parks and Recreation Foundation.
“Jamestown Parks and Recreation is grateful to organizations like Unison Bank that prioritize supporting needs in the communities they operate in. This gift will make a difference for our community,” shared, Jamestown Parks and Recreation Executive Director, Amy Walters.
McElroy Park is home to youth baseball, fast-pitch softball, high school and college baseball and softball programs. The park is home to amateur leagues as well.
The McElroy Park field renovations will consist of three phases that will provide renovations to the youth complex and Jack Brown Stadium. The initial phase has construction planned for the Fall of 2023 which will include a youth tee ball field, one Babe Ruth field, two Cal Ripken fields (one with a turf infield), as well as a restroom and concession building.
The project is a partnership between Jamestown Parks and Recreation, Jamestown Area Youth Baseball Association, Outlaw Fastpitch Softball, Blue Jays and University of Jamestown.
“Unison Bank has been and continues to be a generous leader in our community,” said Jamestown Area Youth Baseball Association President, Matt Perkins. “We are extremely grateful for their support on this project.”
