06 Feb Unison Bank makes contribution to Wishek Fire Department
Fire departments are an integral and valued part of any community. Unison Bank understands that which is why they have made a generous contribution to the community of Wishek, N.D.

Unison Bank has partnered with the Wishek Fire Department to help fund the building of their new fire station.
“As a business member and community member of the Wishek area, we appreciate the hard work and dedication that the Wishek Fire Department, and its team of volunteers, invests in the area it serves,” said Unison Bank Ag & Commercial Banking Officer and Wishek native, Jake Herr.
At Unison Bank, we are proud of our community bank heritage, said Herr. We find it important to give back and help develop our communities.
Unison Bank recently donated $25,000 of a $50,000 pledge to the Wishek Fire Department so that they are one step closer to making their goal. Their hope is to raise $980,000.
“The Wishek fire station was built in 1984 to service the needs for this area. As time went on and the department grew in members and truck size, we found the need to expand. With the old station measuring 60’ by 80’ and only two doors, we decided to build an 80’ by 112’, including five bays. We have been working and planning on this idea for three years, and with this donation and many others, we are moving forward,” shared Wishek Fire Department Chief, David Just.
Chief Just shared that the new fire station is expected to be completed and moved into by fall of 2025. The new building will be located at the corner of Beaver Avenue and 9th Street South – right on Highway 13.
“We are excited to finally move on this expansion. We are very grateful for the donation which will help move our building project forward. We have such a strong young volunteer group which reflects the future of our community. Thank you,” exclaimed Just.
