Reister named Unison Bank Artist of the Month

Unison Bank recently named Doreen Reister as its featured artist for April 2022.

Each month, Unison Bank features local artists, photographers, quilters and creators, and their products or services. Since 2013, they have featured 93 artisans.

April’s featured artist, Reister, has displayed several newly created pieces of jewelry throughout the lobby of Unison Bank in Jamestown, N.D. Reister is the owner of Buffalo City Jewelry.

Unison Bank’s April Artist of the Month, Doreen Reister, owns Buffalo City Jewelry.

“I started making jewelry 15 years ago for myself and as gifts for my family and friends,” said Reister.

Originally from Napoleon, N.D., Reister now resides in the Jamestown area. Reister creates unique, one-of-a-kind necklaces, bracelets and earrings. Her pieces are made utilizing beads, vintage lace, wooden spools, bottle caps, vintage items such as old keys, miniature perfume bottles, thimbles, glass and metal dresser knobs and drawer pulls. In addition to Reister’s seasonal jewelry lines, she also has lines that are gardening themed, as well as local and North Dakota themed that utilize buffalo beads and charms.

“I am always on the hunt for vintage items to incorporate into the jewelry I create,” Reister shared.

In addition to Unison Bank, Reister has several pieces of jewelry for sale at Blessings by Carla boutique, located in the Warehouse West building in Jamestown.

“As a community bank, we’re honored to provide local artists the opportunity and platform to display their unique talents,” said Unison Bank President & CEO, Kelly Rachel. “We invite the community to stop in and see the talent our community has to offer.”
